Please read all the negative posts. My experience mirrored their experiences and then some. There is something wrong there. Went in for an exam and follow up work. Would be told how much I’m going to owe at next visit and it would be much higher. Was told I would owe $700 at next visit and it ended up being over $1200. And she wanted it all right there and then. When I told her I wasn’t prepared for that total right then and she tells me you said you were prepared to pay today. I had to tell the dental assistant on 2 different occasions to put their mask on while working in my mouth. After all the work was done I was still in pain. I had to go in 3 different times for a month before they finally realized I needed a root canal. When it was done and I needed to go back to get the bridge repaired after the root canal. I called 2 different times with no answer and no voice mail to leave a message so I texted them on the same line they texted me and still no response. Keep in mind I’m still in pain. So I call again the next week and she tells me she won’t be able to get me in for 8 days. After much begging she found an appointment for the next day. I go in and she hands me an invoice for about $250 for the bridge repair. I did not know it was going to be that much and asked her if I had to pay it all today. She said absolutely we need payment in full today. I have already paid them quite a bit of money out of my pocket and have been going in the office a lot but nope they wouldn’t work with me so I asked for my medical records and walked out. In response to your post, you didn’t want to work with me when I was in your office so why would I call you now mi smiles?!!
I was a patient at MI Smiles Dental for about 2+ years, including when they first purchased this office. The front desk staff has always been extremely kind, but I have had a mixed bag with the dentists’s advice. First, I was told by a dentist that I would not need 3 of my wisdom teeth removed, just 1 that could be removed without being put under and in office. However, despite asking multiple times about receiving laughing gas or a similar sedative (which they said was available) and requesting to wear my earbuds, the dentist performing the removal did so without ensuring I was all set. Laughing gas was not offered during the actual removal (which I could have asked for, but the dentist rushed me quite a bit, to the point that I wasn’t actually able to get any music playing as well). I was also given PRAYERS as post-op instructions, which I consider highly inappropriate as I am not Christian and I prefer my dentists to be backed in science/healthcare. Additionally, the next time I came back, I was seen by a different dentist, who informed me I actually DID need all of my wisdom teeth out, which cost me more money in the long run. Overall, everyone here is friendly but I would have definitely switched dentists sooner if I wasn’t moving.
This was my first time at this dental clinic and I was very impressed with everyone who I encountered. I was searching for a new dentist and I was very pleased with the professionalism and explanations that doctor Peter Zwier gave me. He also did a very thorough exam. The dental assistant, Miguel, was also very caring and answered all my questions. I feel confident that I will receive excellent care for any dental issues in the future. This is my first impression of this particular office and a new dentist.
It seemed to me that there was great teamwork and coordinating of my future care at this office!
