I wanted to get into a new dentist office that I didn’t have to wait 5 months to get in so I tried Midwest Dental. I didn’t realize that they don’t have permanent dentists or hygienists. They are all traveling here for short term contracts. This does not appeal to me as I like to build a relationship with the people that are working on my teeth. The dentist was ok but the hygienist was not ok. It seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing half the time. It took her so long to do the checking and cleaning. She didn’t know how to do x-rays and at one point she dropped a piece of the x-ray thing that went inside my mouth!! Not good.. Not hygenic. I thought she’d get a new one but didn’t. It was the worse cleaning I’ve had.. EVER. I’ll never go back.
The past two years of going to this dentist has been a huge disappointment. With our family 5 we have a lot of appointments in a year and over the past couple years we have had constant cancellations of our appointments and needing to reschedule. The one plus had been our hygienist, Sky, she had been fantastic for us. But after a couple more cancellations recently we have decided it was time to move on to a different dentist after 10 plus years of going to Midwest, each year we were more and more disappointed with the service we were receiving.
I went into the office for a crown. The dentist looked at my x-rays and was concerned about a shadow. After taking a new x-ray he showed me the tooth next to the first tooth was split and should also be crowded. After seeing the x-rays I agreed and he prepared both teeth at the same time.
It wasn’t the news I was prepared for but he was very professional and explained the options.
