Terrible experience – i recommend avoiding this surgery.

I had my two upper wisdom teeth removed by Dr Badcock in July 2018. I had a severe sinus infection following the surgery (as my sinus was perforated during surgery) and have had ongoing sinus problems since. When I first reported my symptoms to the surgery the nurse told me “You’ve probably got a cold. It’s going around. Mark was sick as a dog last week.” – which was the time he was doing my surgery. This left me feeling that the surgery had questionable hygiene practices if Mark was carrying out surgery while “sick as a dog”.

Mark was polite and professional before the surgery, but after the complications his manner changed and he became very defensive and cold. I felt that he didn’t believe my symptoms until I brought a male family member along to communicate them. He was slow to provide a medical certificate when I requested this to assist with my recovery and told me “it’s controversial whether rest aids recovery”.

I had a great experience with Mark and his team. I am a very nervous patient and he was so kind as were the staff. I had wisdom teeth removed in the chair under sedation, the idea of which horrified me. However with the care and guidance of Mark and his team, it was all done before I knew it. I had postponed it twice already out of fear. I really had nothing to worry about, I was in great hands. Thanks to all of you who held my hand at some stage.

Mark extracted two wisdom teeth and one molar recently from my son who has a physical disability. This can be a confronting issue for my son Toby but the procedure went by like a breeze. I barely had time in the comfortable waiting room to relax when Mark announced it was all over. Tobe was pain free with practically no after care required. Mark was amazing and ably supported by all the team, Toby joins me in thanking all concerned. Well done.
