Got a mailer for new patients: $98 for X-rays, exams and cleaning. I had an 11:30 appointment and arrived around 11:10. No customers in the waiting room, just the dentist and 3 other employees sitting in the waiting room chatting. I guess I was the only patient around that time. I was prompted to pay in advance. First dentist I’ve been to where you pay before instead of after, but, no big deal. They then take me back for X-rays and the hygienist goes over some light spots that were tagged by their AI system. She specifically says that she doesn’t see any cavities which is good. (It’s been about a year since my last visit as my last dentist office closed). The dentist then comes in to look and explains that he sees 3 cavities that will need fillings that we’ll have to schedule for another date. Additionally, he recommends a gum deep clean for gingivitis. I explained that I might be interested but wouldn’t want to move forward with that today. The hygienist and dentist left to get the front desk worker that handled the financial side of things. She went over the costs and it was around 400-500 for the fillings and another 400-500 for the gum deep clean. I said that I might be interested down the road but wouldn’t be interested in scheduling anything today. She said that I’d need to sign a waiver for them to be able to do the cleaning. She then left; I assumed to get the waiver. She came back and said that they are not able to do the cleaning for new patients without me committing to the additional services and that they had financing options. I said that I would still not be interested. I was not offered a refund for my payment and was just told to have a good day. From my perspective, seemed like a classic bait and switch so they could add additional services. The irony is that I would have probably been glad to schedule the services after the cleaning as I just wanted to see how their customer relations were. Everyone there seemed nice overall and the place was very clean. Probably easy to get an appointment too as they called me a week before my scheduled time to try and have me come in two days earlier. I’m looking for a dentist for the long haul and this just wasn’t a good fit for me. Your mileage may vary

UPDATE: Went to Pleasant Grove Dental across the street and they performed a routine cleaning. They did not suggest any fillings at this time and said that my gums didn’t show any signs of gingivitis or disease, just to try and floss more. Makes me feel even more like a bait and switch was the plan with the mailer from MJ Dental Studio

I cannot recommend Dr. Morton and the staff at Mount Juliet Dental Studio highly enough. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. The office was modern and clean, and the receptionist was friendly and efficient.

Dr. Morton was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the treatment plan to me in detail. He was gentle and made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. The staff was also attentive and caring, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my visit.

Overall, my experience at Mount Juliet Dental Studio was exceptional. I will definitely be returning for all my dental needs and would recommend Dr. Morton and his team to anyone looking for a top-notch dental experience.

I had an appointment today for the first time in over a year or two. In the past I had been religious about going every 6 months to a year, so I was quite nervous what the report of my dental health would be.

First, the office is so adorable and has a very welcoming vibe as you enter. Sarah at the front desk is so kind and extremely informative! My entire team from the Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist and the Dentist I saw today, were beyond professional, kind and kept me at ease.

Secondly, I am very happy to report it was a good checkup with only 1 cavity! They were able to take care of my cleaning and filling all the same visit! 10/10 would recommend
