I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge this wonderful office and especially the super talented and kind Dr.Vashi. I have been coming to this office since 2009, and I recommend it to everyone I know who works in the city. The office is super clean, all staff is professional and clear with your care plan. They work with you and your insurance to make sure you get the best care while utilizing your insurance coverages. Dr.Vashi especially is the best dentist I’ve ever been to! She is communicative and super attentive throughout your procedures. Not only this, but all work she has done on me has always been pain free (she checked throughout the procedure to make sure I was feeling ok) and superbly well done. Thank you Dr. Vashi & the 23rd street dental staff for a great experience – I’ll be coming back for years to come!
Beware! The office is clean and the staff are friendly but the dental care is poor. My hygienist was rough with my gums during my cleaning; I left with my gums feeling sore and swollen. The dentist tried to push me into replacing two of my crowns – she actually told me it was urgent and I was at risk of losing the tooth (I got second opinions from two other dentists and they agreed that my crowns looked great and didn’t need to be replaced). Lastly, the dentist filled two small cavities but they have been rough and sensitive since the fillings about a year ago. My new dentist has tried smoothing the service but believes the dentist at 23rd actually took out too much tooth for the filling and didn’t fully fill it in. Avoid the risk and get your dental care somewhere else!
Visited this office recently for a wisdom tooth removal consultation and felt like it was a waste of my time. I waited nearly 45 minutes for an appointment that I was on time for, with no acknowledgment of the wait. While waiting in the patient room I could hear someone on staff yelling at someone else. The dentist came in with zero introduction and spent 3-4 minutes telling me things I already knew. Needless to say I don’t exactly feel comfortable getting teeth extracted here.
