Reviews:
I had a filling completed today under sedation as I am an extremely anxious patient.

In my consultation I felt like everything was explained to me clearly, all of my questions were answered and I felt like my anxieties were listened to and addressed.

During the procedure today, Emily explained everything she was doing as she was doing it, so it made me feel very at ease. The biggest help was when she was drilling my tooth, she counted down from 5 and it gave me reassurance that it “wasn’t going to last forever”

Alicia also helped me when I was getting out of the chair and gave me lots of words of reassurance. She was very friendly and professional. Both her and Emily clearly work very well together.

Afterwards I sat in the waiting room where the secretary staff were, they were also very friendly and chatty, which helped me feel better as the sedation wore off. They were extra attentive and made sure I was feeling 100% before leaving the practice.

This is the first time in all the times I’ve been going to the dentist that I felt completely at ease, it was stress-free and I think if I need any other work done in the future I will ask for sedation and hopefully be seen to by Emily and Alicia.

For any other anxious patients, I highly recommend the sedation route. It was such a different experience than what I have been used to all these years. It makes me feel so much less afraid of getting anything done.

I developed an infection in my upper wisdom tooth which had previous root canal work. My dentist advised my tooth needed extracted. The tears began instantaneously, my dentist understands my dental anxiety and referred me to “My Dentist” at Whitburn so the tooth could be removed using sedation.

I have nothing but the highest of praises for this surgery particularly Emily and her team, upon my initial visit everything was explained in detail and what was involved in sedation and the extraction, this calmed my mind down and prepared me, their kindness, compassion and patience helped me get through the week until extraction day.

I must be the most anxious dental patient due to bad experiences as a child, even though I had been well prepared for this day I was still anxious moments before, yet again I was put at ease, they kept me occupied chatting to me then it was over …. Yes it was as easy as that it was over before I knew it!

For anyone who suffers with awful dental anxiety, sedation really helped me, thank you Emily and team for your kindness and patience.

I have experienced a very poor service for a privately paid crown. Once the crown was fitted, and the anaesthetic had worn off, I found it was catching on another tooth. I had to return to the practice after suffering for two weeks with pain in my mouth every time I chewed any food. Some of the crown was filed down reliving most of the pain.
I was told to give the tooth time to settle and I have waited for six weeks. However, the tooth is still not right and I still cannot eat on it due to the discomfort. I have asked for an appointment today only to be told the dentist has left and there is no replacement so I cannot get an appointment until November. I feel this is very unsatisfactory and I am going to write a formal complaint to the practice manager.
