Reviews:
My daughter got her lip and tongue ties revised here at 5 days old in December, but over the past couple months I noticed the symptoms returning. To me it looks like the tongue tie reattached and is even more restricted than it was initially. (It was a posterior tie at first and now attaches further up her tongue, I can barely even lift her tongue up.)

She has been spitting up after nursing, makes a clicking sound while nursing, wakes all night long, and is unable to suck to hold a pacifier in her mouth or my finger when I try to test her suction.

I took her back to Dr Offutt and he looked at it very quickly and told me it was fine and he didn’t want to mess with it, but it’s unacceptable to me that we opted for this intervention and the reattachment has left her worse off. I’m concerned about the life long health issues that come with ties.

I’m disappointed though because they said it would be free to fix the attachment with the initial Dr and I will now have to pay for this procedure again. It leaves me questioning this Dr’s competence and/or ethics. I shared my concerns with the front office and was never contacted about it.

I did get a second opinion and that Dr agreed her tongue tie was reattached and quite tight. I would not recommend this place for those looking at tie revisions.

My son got his tongue and lip ties done here at 6 days old. Staff here goes above and beyond to make the parents and the kids feel comfortable. They even called us to let us know that the doctor is being held up about half an hour oh the hospital, another office would’ve just had us sit and wait there! This is greatly appreciated especially when you’re trying to juggle a toddler and a newborn! Dr.Offut gives his personal cell when you get a revision done with him, That way you can contact him directly if you have any follow-up questions or issues after the procedure. He believes in a minimally invasive approach to achieve proper function-and is open to further correction/ cutting more tissue as/if the kiddo ends up requiring more. They use a CO2 versus a Diode laser (it’s newer),You can look up honestly though it’s more the skill of the practitioner than the laser that matters! Additionally the office does take Delta dental.Very well run practice! We would recommend!
Lack of transparency in billing and unapologetic for misleading information. We were told that Tri-Care was an accepted insurance provider which was true. However, NBPDA is no longer a credentialed provider with Tri-Care so most of their services are not covered. We were not informed of this change until after multiple visits and incurring more than $600 in charges. The Office Manager acknowledged the recent change in credentialing and failure to notify customers, but made no attempt to correct the situation or take responsibility for their lack of communication and customer service. The dental care is excellent, however the change in credentialing was not communicated until charges from multiple visits had been accrued and the Office Manager expressed no concern in her staff’s lack of transparency. Recommend military members seek other providers for care.
