I had an emergency dental situation the day before Thanksgiving and called Newport Bay Dental at 10 AM. They were very accommodating and scheduled me for an appointment at noon the same day. I hadn’t visited the dentist in around 6 years and was very nervous about it. Dr. Boerner is the nicest dentist I’ve ever met, and the only one who hasn’t given me anxiety. My tooth pain was nearly unbearable, but Dr. Boerner gave me a series of Novocaine shots with adequate time in between to allow everything to go fully numb before starting the procedure. He performed a quick root canal and made the experience pleasant, telling jokes and being personable throughout. The chair was very comfortable, each equipped with a personal TV playing the Food Network (though he told me I could watch whatever I wanted). In the end, Dr. Boerner gave me his cell phone number and asked me to call or text over the weekend if anything was hurting, and told me he’d be happy to come back in and do a follow-up cleaning in their off hours if I had any issues. My tooth feels 1000 times better now; he literally saved my Thanksgiving! I went back for a follow-up today and had a similar experience. I asked about fixing my crooked teeth down the line, and he said I’d be a good candidate for Invisalign, which he can do in-house once my crown and cavity work is finished. In a week’s time, I’m no longer afraid of the dentist. I highly recommend Newport Bay Dental for anyone who is afraid of the dentist, regardless of teeth issues!

Dr. Boerner and his entire staff at Newport Bay Dental continually go above and beyond to provide the highest level of service. Dr. Boerner’s knowledge and skill put him at the top of his game, and his caring, pleasant manner will make even the most nervous dental patient feel comfortable and at ease. In all the years I have been going to him he has never tried upsell, and is always supportive and patient.

Finding a dentist you trust is not an easy task. My husband and I have been through a few in a short period of time. Dr Boerner is great! He has fixed mistakes that the last dentist’s we’ve been to have made. He is competent and has a relaxed manner that puts you at ease. His office staff are great too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr Boerner!!
