Since I was a child in the 1960s I’ve been coming to this dental office. Dr Andy Penuvchev took over the practice when the previous dentist retired a number of years ago and expanded the practice in a beautiful contemporary new office, adding more hygienists and additional professionals. I’ve continued to attend regularly for cleanings and check ups and filings or crowns.

The staff are most friendly and helpful and operate this dental office very efficiently. I never wait more than a few minutes for my appointment and in the dental chair using the latest technology and diagnostic tools, Andy works seamlessly with his assistant and competes his work promptly and without discomfort. I’m continually amazed at how he can put on a crown and I’d never know he’d been working in my mouth.

His extensive knowledge and experience coupled with his genuine friendly approach make a trip to the dentist quite pleasurable and something to look forward to. Like seeing old friends. And when I’ve had an urgent need, a quick call to the office and the staff manage to fit me into their busy schedule. Even after moving from Toronto 22 years ago I continue to drive a little over an hour for the best dental care.

The clinic itself is very nice and clean, the staff is good. I did my veneers there a couple of years ago and recently came in to have them checked as I could feel them move and i felt some discomfort. The doctor put extra bonding on a couple of them (I did 6), however I can still feel them move all the time and I have a feeling that they will fall off in the next little while. That will be extremely dissappointing as this was an expensive, long and painful process and they should last for about 10 years.

Just switched to North Toronto Dental and my first impression was amazing! From the friendly, helpful and efficient reception staff, to Monica and Dr Penuchev. I had some pain and they fit me into the schedule quickly, they took the time to not only examine me thoroughly, but understand my situation to determine the source of the issue. Dr Penuchev explained everything simply, demonstrated kindness and empathy, and recommend a solution that would work for me. So happy to have switched!
