As of now I am leaving 4stars, Overall I had a wonderful experience. From the second I walked in, to even getting my first initial x-rays. To getting a plan drawn up and scheduled for my first cleaning. The reason I am leaving 4stars instead of 5 is due to some communication/pricing issues I experienced. First I was scheduled for a cleaning and to get some other work done on the same day. As well as a price on how much my insurance would be paying for the cleaning and the additional work. So I moved some work things around due to me being told that day works best for them. Then not even 2 days later I received a voicemail saying they need to reschedule the extra work I needed done which was to me the most important part. But things happen so I understand, and they did tell me I could still come in for my cleaning on that day. So on the day of my cleaning everything was an excellent. The dental hygienist who did my cleaning was professional, polite, and very detailed. But when I went to check out and schedule for the extra work is where the communication/pricing came into play. Like I said I was told before I scheduled the cleaning and extra work what my insurance would be paying and what I would need to pay. I was even given a printed out copy of the pricing, how ever when I went to pay that was not the case. I was given a price that was 10x the amount I was originally told. Now luckily it was only $60 dollars but originally I was told $6. Now it’s not that I can’t afford to pay the $60 dollars, it’s just apparently I needed some type of special cleaning that no one communicated that with me until after it was done. And when I asked why it was that much I was kinda looked like I was the one in the wrong and like I should not have been asking any questions. However I am still going through with the extra work I need done, but this time I am having them do a pre-approved pricing through my insurance. If everything goes good on my next visit, I will change my review to a 5 star with updated information. Thank you

My first visit and personal experience at Oceans Dental Group of Palm Coast was nothing short of excellent.
I required immediate attention and I was given professional and courteous service. Dr. Al provided me with options and together we decided on the best one for me. He is very courteous, respectful and kind. Jennifer his assistant was absolutely amazing, she is very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I am very pleased with the outcome of my 4 hour visit and have already scheduled my next appointment.

I have been a patient at Oceans Dental since moving here four years ago, I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. In a recent visit to the office I saw Dr. Al Shammari for molar pain due to a deep cavity, filling, I felt he genuinely cared, he explained what needed to be done and did his best to resolve the issue. It’s hard to find a good new dentist after having the same one for thirty years before moving, but I found one, at Oceans Dental.
