I was looking for a dentist who was open on Saturday and came across Opal. I found the location on Google and checked out the pictures, place looked spotless and staff friendly.
I decided to call and the gentleman who answered the phone was kind and courteous. He listened to my needs, asked a few clarifying questions and then had me an appointment set up the next day at 8am. Now that’s availability!
I get there at 7:45 and walk in, the place looks even better in person. Literally every surface is immaculate and every angle well thought out. The decor was warm yet professional. A bonus was the Keurig and offerings. The seating, 2 styles, one looking more firm, I chose the couch which immediately was warm and comforting.
I sat and filled out my paperwork via tablet within 10 minutes. The tablet was light and easy to use. It seemed to me the choices of clean and professional looking even extended to the tablet design chosen.
I was promptly greeted by Madison and sat in a room where we started the patient intake process. I must say, even at this point she started making my visit less stressful by keeping a positive demeanor and being kind while asking important questions. Now, my mouth isn’t perfect by any means and some of us are self conscious. She totally made me feel at ease when I said my teeth were a bit messed up. Really started making me feel like they absolutely care.
The room was wonderful! TV on the ceiling with Netflix (with kids profile) and tv in front of me. The room was super clean and fresh. Even the paint texture on the wall looked like it was just applied and somehow passed a rigorous cleanliness test.
I was confident I was in the right place.
We took some x-rays and that went great. Madison was very personable during, made it all go very quickly.
Then the dentist Dr. Waheed introduced himself, asked me a bit about what was going on and gave his recommendation. I told him what I would like to do, and the outcome for implant and he was the first dentist to help me work in the exact plan of action and quelled any of my concerns.
I must say, his explanations were very logical and it made it very easy for me to make a decision. His demeanor is wonderful, he exudes professionalism and care for his patients and their safety.
We started the procedure and I have anxiety, which they were very very accommodating for. They allowed me breaks when needed and ensured I was comfortable the whole time. On the note of the procedure, he extracted the tooth perfectly, it wasn’t harsh at all and I experienced no pain or discomfort. They have many resources available to ensure comfort too. They worked diligently to pack up what they needed to and get me stitched back up.
Then it was quickly over. The swelling isn’t bad and he wrote me for 800s which saves me a bit. 🙂 as it stands though it’s been 4 hours and I’m basically in zero pain. The numbing was perfect and he didn’t stab me like crazy. No soreness.
Honestly the worst part was my nerves. They are a 10/10 and I’ll be using them from now on.

If you are looking for a new dentist to entrust the dental care for yourself or your family in, I highly recommend Opal Dental. I had been a patient of Dr. Irum’s for years at a previous practice. I lost track of her for awhile, but found her here at their amazing new facility. She is not only an amazing dentist as far as skill and expertise, she is kind, patient and gentle. Even for a coward like me. I am sure I pass by 100 dentists that are more convenient for me, relative to where I live. But the 45 min drive is worth it. The office is state of the art in every way and the staff is wonderful, too. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
After an extensive hospital stay my teeth really took a hit and I desperately needed care I was full of anxiety and embarrassment when I arrived but after 5min of being there they made sure I felt at ease and comfortable. The entire staff were very nice and informative I absolutely loved the dental hygienist Stephanie she’s amazing and the Dentist took her time walking me through my treatment plan and making sure I was comfortable and in no pain. I will never go anywhere else Opal is def the place to go.. I will be referring everyone there
