Dr. Richard Richter is not only a brilliant dentist, but he is kind and deeply cares about his patients. He has helped me tremendously in the past. I went in for a root canal two years ago, they had everything set up, and when he was about to start it he said “I’m not convinced this is what needs to be done and I don’t want to do an unnecessary procedure. Let’s see if it gets better.” Well- it did! Two years later and no root canal needed. He used his expertise to do what was best for me rather than going ahead with what was already planned. This showed his true wisdom of his craft and also care for me as a patient. He also painlessly filled other cavities I had- I’ve never had a painless experience at a dentist.

Most recently, he took my call at 3:30 am as I was having complications with my gum during a high risk pregnancy. He gave me advice on how to stop the bleeding, personally checked in with me every couple of hours to make sure I was doing better, and got me in with a great oral surgeon the next morning. He then followed up with me in his office and came up with a treatment plan.

I have always had anxiety going to the dentist, but that fear has since been alleviated. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Richter’s professionalism, skill, wisdom, and most importantly, true care and kindness for his patients. I highly, highly recommend him!

I have very sensitive teeth and gums and the hygienists make the experience painless and comfortable. They have truly improved the condition of my teeth and gums.
Dr. Richard Richter is an incredible dentist, he takes the time to explain procedures and is always gentle, kind and extremely knowledgeable. He is truly gifted in his field. Dr. Richter is always innovative and has the latest technology.

I knew they were a great group of dentists and hygienists, but I didn’t realize just how good they were until I moved and had to pick a new dentist. Not only is the staff skilled and friendly, but I never felt any pain post visit, from cleaning to root canal. Dr. Richter was even accommodating enough to see my wife in an emergency with no appointment on a Saturday. My current dentist even commented on how good my fillings were, they were having trouble identifying which teeth had fillings! I don’t even know how there are any other dentists in business on eastern Long Island. If your not going here why are you putting yourself through that?
