I’m writing this 3 months after having had one veneer (Teilkrone) custom-made here, by Dr. Kollmann and team. I wanted to wait and see if my satisfaction is maintained after some time. It is. I am so grateful and want to thank you and share my positive experience publicly.
As I said to them, if this is how dentists visits would normally feel, people would love to do it all the time. :-))

I am a frequent dentist-goer since childhood, with various kind of teeth problems. This is why I have some frontal veneers to begin with (done in another country, where I have lived). One of them broke because of teeth grinding and having the wrong dental night guard. I needed urgent help. I got it here and it was much better than expected.

The most important part of my review: after almost 20 years in Germany, this is the most pleasant, in fact the only completely satisfactory dentist experience that I had as a public health insurance patient (gesetzlich Versicherte). At each of the 4 appointments I had, I felt listened to, not rushed, my problem(s) were taken seriously and Dr. Kollmann looked for a comprehensive solution – not to fix one thing and have it cause one or several negative side effects, like other dentists
oftentimes do – while patiently explaining me the pros and cons of different approaches (of other issues I had and asked about, beyond the one came here with). I felt well taken care of and not pressured into buying any services or materials. In fact, I have been at many other dentists over the years and Dr. Kollmann has suggested some solutions that were much more cost effective than the ones I knew about and that no other dentist in Germany had ever mentioned to me. Moreover, given the time invested by everyone to make one single tooth (covered by the public health insurance) it can be considered almost a pro-bono case. And yet they gave their best.

A huge advantage, very time-saving too, is that the lab is in he same house. The technicians are super professional. I am especially happy with the lady technician (Serbian name, I don’t quite remember it) who made and painted my veneer. Since I needed only one, it is very difficult (as I have been told by several professionals) to make it look the same like the others (especially the nuance). But not only was she very kind and sweet, but she considered my feedback and made it fit so well …. practically, they made a work of art, as a team effort 🙂 No one can guess, not even on a closer look, which one is the newer tooth. ^_^

I’d like to mention that in the recent years I have been patient at another large and well-known clinic in Frankfurt. The work they done the first time was good, but once I was a patient and they grew as a business, they became so greedy that everything was about making money. I wanted to replace my veneer there. I got an emergency appointment where I have gotten a provisory fix – which was supposed to last till the 1st appointment available, which was in 2 months later but it which broke a few weeks after, while I was in vacation abroad. At that appointment they convinced me that I had 2 cavities that needed fixing, which it turns out it was kind of a scam. I went there with no pain and went home with pain that needed a new intervention elsewhere and 140 Euros less in my wallet (veneer provisory fixing was paid by my insurance, I paid the rest). This was just one example of the horrible experiences I had with dentists. I’m writing this just to say that I am not easy-going AT ALL when giving dentists a 5 stars review. 🙂

Meine Erfahrungen sind leider sehr negativ. Kurz zum aktuellen Fall. Ich verfuge uber eine Zahnprothese seit einigen Jahren, die auch in hier gemacht wurde. Vor ein paar Wochen, suchte ich dann die Praxis erneut auf, um mir eine neue Prothese anfertigen zu lassen, da die alte nicht mehr passte (in der Uniklinik Frankfurt wurden 2 Zahne entfernt wegen einer Kieferentzundung). Bei dem Termin wurde ein Kieferabdruck oben und unten gemacht. Ich bekam dann einen erneuten Termin eine Woche spater. Einen Tag vor diesem Termin ging die Prothese (Oberkiefer leider zu Bruch). Ich setzte mich dann mit der Praxis in Verbindung und teilte Ihnen den Sachverhalt mit und fragte nach, ob man den Termin vorverlegen konne. Von der Dame in der Zentrale wurde mir dann mitgeteilt, dass es nicht moglich sei, da der Zahntechniker derzeit fur 3 Monate in Urlaub sei. ????? Was ist denn mit meinem Termin, den ich morgen bei Ihnen habe? Ja den mussen wir dann streichen. Mit dieser Aussage war ich nicht zufrieden und wollte die Arztin personlich sprechen. Ich wurde durchgestellt und die Arztin teilte mir mit, dass der Zahntechniker fur 2 Monate in Urlaub sei und man keinen Ersatz habe. Ich solle mich als Notfall in der Uniklinik aufnehmen lassen, die wurden sich dann um alles kummern. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass die lukrativen Behandlungen in der Praxis gemacht werden und alles andere irgendwie abgewiesen werden.
Nach meinem Wissensstand verfugt die Praxis uber ein eigenes Zahnlabor im Haus und weil ein Zahntechniker angeblich in Urlaub ist (und das fur 3 Monate) lauft da nichts mehr?? Ja man verfugt sogar nicht einmal uber eine Vertretungsmoglichkeit? Sehr sehr merkwurdig !!

I had some veneers replaced about one year ago. I had really beautiful ones done before in Los Angeles (20 years ago) that I hated anyone touching, but they were old and needed to be replaced. I had a lot of anxiety about this, since dentistry standards are different (in my opinion – I had two other bad dental experiences here in Germany). I did a lot of research to decide where to go and wanted a specialist in cosmetic dentistry. This one had the bonus of an in-house lab.

I have to say, I had them done and don’t even notice them (which is good for me!). They look totally natural. Dr. Gasteyer understood that I wanted them natural looking and he very carefully made slight improvements to the originals. His lab team was also amazing. And everyone was very patient. The problem is that after spending so much money if one doesn’t like them it’s a real problem, so they made that extra effort to get them really perfect for me. I would highly recommend them!
