So I am completely understanding of doctors offices changing their hours but not once but twice have they either called me the day before my appointment to tell me not only were their office hours changed but that they also changed my appointment without even informing me or they didn’t even inform me of the changes at all. I schedule my appointments 6 months in advance for the simple fact that I have to ask off work and told about the changes the day before and expected to have no issues with it upset me but this last time was the final straw. I showed up for my scheduled time and they were completely closed. I called the next day and the receptionist said they closed 45 mins before my appointment. I told her my appointment was supposed to be at 2:45pm and she said oh no it was changed to 1pm because since January they close at 2pm. I asked her why I was not informed since my appointment was made in December and she told me I must have been overlooked. She had a horrible attitude and brushed off any responsibility. It’s horribly disrespectful and unprofessional to run a business like this where you don’t even inform your patients that you’ve decided to close your office earlier than their appointment and that their appointment has changed without any discussion on the topic. Common human respect apparently doesn’t run in this business because they expect you to either just be able to change a scheduled time off work with no problems or they just expect you to read their minds and just know they changed things.
Ok my first visit I was told that non of my teeth was savable, mind you.i only had 4 teeth removed my entire life at this time which was 2 top wisdom teeth and the molar tooth next to each one. Well they pulled 3 last week and this week went back for extraction of 25 teeth and dentures. Again I asked was my teeth savable and he said well yes but, I asked but what and he said nothing. I ask again yes or no and he said yes. I asked if all of them other than 1 wisdom and 1 molar that was abscess which absolutely needed removed and he said all of them. So he asked what I wanted to do and I said I would like to try and save my teeth but go ahead and remove the wisdom and the molar and he said we are done here then. I asked why he said cause we are scheduled for a full extraction today. He refused to pull the wisdom tooth and molar tooth unless I allowed him to remove them all. After giving me pretty much no choice about keeping my teeth if I wanted to, he was very unprofessional and rude and inconsiderate! He told me to shut up cause of noises I made due to the pain, I could feel pain when he was pulling my eye tooth and he said get over it, and ofc I was shaking and he very hatefully told me to quit moving!!!! 0/Then get this the dentures are cheap from the eye teeth back they have no form at all and the teeth already have broken and chipped teeth and I have only had them for 3 hours and haven’t ate or drink anything with them at all… I would never refer anyone there I wouldn’t even send my pet dog!!!!
I went to this office a few times. 1st time I didn’t see any problems. Dental hygienist was nice and cleaned my teeth. I had to have a little extra stuff done with my gums that the hygienist was able to do. It was uncomfortable but tolerable. I came in to get some fillings on a separate occasion. The dentist himself has horrible bedside manner. He started my fillings after being numbed and I could feel so much intense pain I was in tears and having trouble keeping my mouth open. He made a comment that I shouldn’t be feeling any pain even though I obviously was and “old men get this done all the time without any numbing”. He finished one filling after making numerous comments about how I wasn’t in pain and what he was doing at that moment doesn’t hurt. “There’s no pain, you’re not feeling any pain, this doesn’t hurt” is some of the exact words I was told while crying in pain. He then told me to come back another day because he cant work on me if I’m in that much pain. I have never been treated so terrible. I’ve seen lots of dentist in my life and I’ve had fillings and even root canals done with little to no pain so what is this guys problem? There’s a ton of options in cookeville and surrounding areas that are much better.
