I hadn’t had a dentist I trust in Washington until I got to this practice. They’re modern, responsive, and treat the whole person. Dr. Hong will recommend the best treatment, but will also work with his patients to find affordable solutions if the ideal treatment is unaffordable. He and his staff sincerely care about our health/wellbeing and they always check in after significant treatment to ensure we’re recovering well. I’ve had other dentists that seemed like they couldn’t be finished with treatments (whether cleaning or tooth damage) fast enough–I have never felt rushed here, and have felt that he gave me time and space to form and ask questions. Hubby teaches medical ethics and has said that Dr. Hong does a good job of obtaining informed consent. Dr. Hong is up front about the cost of treatment, including what is and is not covered by insurance. Highly recommend.

I was in about a month ago and did not enjoy my experience. Dr. Hong is extremely standoffish and short to the point of almost being rude, and even his assistant seemed to be embarrassed by the way he was speaking to me. After he left the room, I turned and asked her if I had said anything wrong, and she signed and said, “Don’t worry, you’re not the only patient that asks this after he’s finished; he’s got that brooding doctor thing going”. Terrible bedside manners from the doctor. I felt so unwelcome by him, and I do not recommend this office. The only reason I stayed through my check-up was because of how personable and comfortable his assistant made me feel after he left.

Needing extensive dental work, Dr. Hong made sure I knew all my options and the pros and cons of each before a plan was put in place and I was given a written quote of the exact price of the complete undertaking. After every step of the procedure, he has contacted me to learn how I was doing. He is a gentle, caring and skilled professional and all of his staff are exceptional. Five stars are not enough!
