Reviews:
The receptionist checked with my insurance and said the entire checkup plus the X-rays would be free. I took the appointment because she confirmed that it would be taken care of by my insurance.
I saw Dr. Dan Rodriguez and he proceeded to thoroughly check my teeth. I appreciated him telling me all the issues with my gums. Especially when he said the reason why I didn’t know how to take care of my teeth (therefore had a high chance of gum disease) was because “my culture” didn’t know how to take care of their teeth. I will tell you now that I am 100% AMERICAN. Perhaps I don’t look like the typical white blue eyed person but I didn’t appreciate the comment about my assumed “culture”. Also, why does he have a job as a dentist if Americans know how to take care of their teeth so well? Hm?
To top it all off with all the great appreciation for “my culture”, his staff proceeded to charge a bill greater than the amount my insurance would cover, leaving me with a $94 bill.
I didn’t appreciate Dr. Dan’s comment nor do I appreciate being charged $94 for an appointment I was told was going to be completely covered by my insurance.
Luckily I moved to another state and no longer have to deal with the unprofessional staff at Raleigh Hills Dental.
Friendly, down to earth professionals.
I didn’t go to the dentist for a lot of years. One day, in 2010, I was (VERY lightly) using a toothpick when a chunk of a tooth fell off. more importantly, it didn’t hurt. I knew that was bad. Called a friend who referred me to Raleigh hills. They got me in that afternoon. A few days later I was getting a root canal to fix that tooth permanently.
Raleigh Hills Dental laid out a very reasonable plan and worked with me on figuring out the best way for me to get my teeth back in to shape for the long term. Over many years I can now say my teeth have never been better.
I was never pressured to do work early or have work done that might not be necessary – when I had any questions they were answered clearly and thoroughly.
They’ve always been able to help me as needed in off hours emergencies or for touch ups while healing (when a crown was too high or similar.)
For the last number of years I’ve been pretty much just cleanings – since I have some generally not great teeth I get intensive cleanings quarterly so I still get the joy of seeing the Raleigh Hills staff more frequently than most. I’m not joking or sarcastic when I say it’s truly a pleasure when it’s that time again to go visit their office – it’s wonderful to catch up and leave with clean teeth.
Dan, Robert, & the rest of the team are absolutely top notch, I can’t recommend them enough.
