Reviews:
I am a 63 yr old man and have suffered from extreme dental phobia for over 35 yrs
I attempted a few dentist appt but passed out once ran out of the office another time or cont to cancel appt
Meanwhile I suffered broken teeth tooth infections and pain
Finally after working with a there’s and an outstanding dentist “a gift from God”, Dr Annie Amsalem DDS, the oral surgeon. From the moment I walked into the Reading Dental Assoc on Ash st, and met staff and dental hygenist and a Dr Hojjati (she worked on my dentures) and of course Dr. Annie I felt a calmness and peace I never felt in a dentist office.
From the beginning taking X-rays and setting up a plan of care, Dr Annie explain everything honestly and with kindness and reassurance.
You just have to read Dr Annie bio on the website to see her expertise and vast knowledge and experience this also helped me feel at ease.
Dr Annie and I decided on nitrous oxide, which in my research is not available in all practices. It greatly reduced my anxiety. I had to have my upper teeth extracted and we decided it was best to do it gradually several teeth in each sitting.
The first thing I noticed is how focused she is and ensures that you have no pain.
The whole staff worked as a team I called several times after extractions with questions and I was always greeted with empathy and patience and quick responses.
They all were there to cheer me on and to lift me up when I would become discouraged or if I was crying they were so compassionate and sometimes the tears were just feelings of gratitude for these amazing people and I was walking through the fear. As time went on I would look forward to the next appointment because I knew it was another step forward and I would tell Dr Annie how I never looked forward to seeing a dentist till I met her.
She was open to talking with my therapist after releases signed and my therapist wants to send other clients with dental phobia to Dr Annie
Dr.Hojjati worked on the dentures with me making sure they were comfortable and correctly aligned and she was always open to seeing me to make an adjustment if I had any problems.
I now have a great pair of upper dentures and smiled for a picture tonight. It was the first time in years
There is a verse in the Old Testament in summary Sirach 38 my hand is upon the physician and God gives them the honor they deserve…
God’s hand is truly upon all those who work at this dental practice
If you have any fears of dental don’t hesitate go to these very special people
I truly do not know how there are high stats for this. I will say, I originally called Woburn Dental who they are affiliated with and that woman was very kind. It has been a long time since I’ve been to the dentist. My period experiences have been traumatic and I was feeling incredibly embarrassed and anxious. I reached out to Facebook for suggestions and called many places to inquire about sedation for my appointment as my anxiety was incredibly high. When I called Woburn, they informed me they did not have a permit as they were newer but helped me book in reading. Again this woman was very kind and I explained my fear. When I filled out my paperwork for Resding I answered all the anxiety and trauma questions specifically detailing my issues and that I was here selectivity for sedation dentistry. As I arrived and my panic set in, the place was not giving friendly helpful vibes. No one chatted with me about all I detailed and as soon as the person took me back she began asking me all the same questions that I had to again answer and got very emotional over. She had zero concern over my being upset and crying and her literal words from her mouth were “sounds like Woburn didn’t want to deal with it” and “you’ll still feel pain with the laughing gas”. The doctor then came in and basically told me a different story. The assistant continued to try to get me to take X-rays and said “you even have an issue taking X-rays?” And I side no but I’m not taking them here if you don’t offer what I’m looking for… It’s taken me so long to get the courage to walk into a dentist and this went so much worse than I could’ve imagined. I’m not sure the assistants name and assume she doesn’t care but she was awful and has added another bout of trauma to the list. .
I had an outstanding experience at Reading Dental Associates. Stephanie, the hygienist, delivered a comprehensive and comfortable cleaning, demonstrating her exceptional skill and attentiveness. Dr. Hojjati’s examination was equally impressive, with her clear communication and thorough responses to my questions highlighting her expertise. The entire visit reflected their commitment to top-notch patient care, making it a five-star experience.
