I wish could give zero Stars.

My experience at the Richmond Dental Building was extremely disappointing. I initially called to inquire about having my wisdom tooth pulled, and was assured that they could handle it, with a referral to Highland Hospital as a backup option. However, upon arrival, the front desk receptionist was rude and in a bad mood. The x-ray technician, on the other hand, was friendly and professional.

After the x-ray, I was asked to wait for the doctor. He examined my x-ray and informed me that he couldn’t perform the extraction but could refer me to Highland Hospital. He then suggested a deep cleaning, which my insurance would cover for free. Curiously, another dentist quickly performed the deep cleaning in less than 5 minutes, whereas similar procedures at other clinics usually take much longer.

Following the cleaning, I was asked to wait outside. After waiting for 45 minutes, I approached the front desk to inquire about the delay. To my surprise, I was told I could leave without receiving the referral and antibiotics that the doctors had mentioned earlier. When I expressed my confusion, the front desk staff claimed that they don’t provide referrals to Highland Hospital.

I asked to speak with the doctor, who brought me inside to discuss the situation. He seemed dismissive and questioned my feelings, ultimately telling me not to return to the clinic. It left me feeling as though they had encouraged me to make an appointment solely to charge my insurance for unnecessary procedures.

I highly advise anyone considering this dental clinic, Richmond Dental Building, to think twice before making an appointment. My experience felt like a scam, and it’s clear that they prioritize profit over patient care.

The customer service by the girls at the front desk are beyond unhelpful and not very professional. They call to confirm an appt and talk about a copay from insurance I no longer have since the layoffs due to pandemic of March 2020 not to mention the company then cancelled ALL insurance for employees (who are not back to work beyond the pandemic) cancelling the policies as of January 2021 leaving me at a time of pregnancy to pick up medical. Had the ladies did a little bit more digging in the medical files they would see that I carry no additional insurance that why I was given medical. It’s very easy to understand but I was hung up on and they didn’t want to go the extra mile for the patient. Good ridence to anyone that treats patients like they are not you won’t have a job for long if there’s no patients to help. Obviously customer service is not you for you.
I used to come here and also volunteer when I was in high school. I used to really like the staff but once there was a new owner things changed. The last time I went for a dental cleaning and check up was in 2022. I wanted to get a referral for a dental implant but the Dr who is the owner said they do not offer referrals at this office (that was a lie…) I ended up finding my implant Dr without a referral and he said he does work with Dr Biat (idc how you spell his name) and was confused as to why he didn’t refer me. I do want to say that the only advice Dr Biat gave me was to “go to Mexico” to get the work done ……. He thought I couldn’t afford it…..? Dr. Biat is trash, not sorry about it. He was shady and i know exactly why. I don’t recommend this place. Sorry if you read this Tia
