Reviews:
Before even looking at my teeth they took a full mouth panoramic x-ray. That tell me that bases on my insurance and the length of time since I was last in, they knew the insurance would pay for it. They never checked me to see if it would be needed. So I was immediately on edge about the cost. Next I had a cleaning, which I expected as that would also be paid for by the insurance and due to why I was coming in was a good thing. So no qualms there. Then the dentist, after a long wait came in and checked my teeth, setup a plan for some fillings and several root cals and caps, all expensive procedures, and sent me out to schedule them. He could have begun some of the work but my guess is by making it a separate appointment can get another office visit fee and wrack up more charges. He recommended and ordered an oral rinse, and I went home without much improvement. I got an oral rinse until I can save up enough for the first filling to be done. The total co see t is more than my insurance will pay for the year, and many of the extra costs the insurance won’t cover at all. So likely this will take me 2 – 3 years to get done with my finances. I would rather have had 2 of the worst cavities filled now than waiting. I would rather have options than be quoted the Ferrari price right off the bat. I am a cheap guy. I go that route every time because they are just teeth. If the chew and don’t hurt I am happy. Old style fillings worked for the first 50 years of my life, so they should still work.
I am an incredibly anxious dental patient even with the most basic of work, they were so considerate of my anxiety levels. The dentist was great to ask me not only if I had tooth pain but if I have any concerns or things I would like to change. For the first time in a very long time I was able to have a real conversation about some work that had been done by other dentists offices but hadn’t been done right. The front office, dental hygienist, dental assistant, and dentist all made me feel as calm as I have ever felt at the dentist.
Customer beware! They add on charges “Hemorrhage and Isolation” and or “Tissue Management and Isolation” ($30 per quadrant) that is not billed to insurance. Per office manager, we are not the only customers to complain over these ridiculous charges over the last few years. We are finding a dental office that doesn’t include “extra fees” and doesn’t require us to pay for dental cleanings before insurance has been billed. Disappointed and will miss Holly’s infectious laugh and kindness!
