I started a new job 30 days ago… with health insurance, and dental insurance!! How exciting!!
I’ve had a tooth ache/infection for about 2 weeks.. I made appointment with them, and they called to check up on me, and make sure I was coming to my appointment! Extremely helpful with all my questions..
show up to my appointment early.. had to wait 10 min past my appointment time.. no big deal.
I go into a room with a lady. She’s extremely rude right from the jump.. she says she needs xray. I tell her I have a very bad gag reflux.. so she is very forceful with the xray tool, causing more pain, she’s very rude and obnoxious.. after she gets xray she said dentist will be righg in.. he’s very informative and says I need root canal. So I agree.
First Lady comes back in with bill over $1000.. I said I have insurance, and she rudely responded. I said I’ll take the pain meds and antibiotics today, and call my insurance company tomorrow as that’s not what they told me when I signed up.
She gets extremely nasty towards me and says let me find out what extraction cost.. still $400.. I said let me call my insurance tomorrow as that’s not what they had explained to me. She flails her arms and says we are done here.. she leaves the room extremely rude.
The lady at the counter was very helpful with my questions.. I said can I get my prescriptions at least and she hands me a slip for Tylenol.. I said the Dr told me I was getting antibiotics.. the first girl standing in the background with her snotty remarks acts dumb founded.. and a lady walks in the room and says I heard the dentist say antibiotics.. so i received my antibiotics, and meds.
I will not return to this establishment for as long as this women is employed here. Rude, obnoxious, and has caused me more pain than I was in to start with.

I’ll make sure to let others aware of her behavior

The person who did my x rays did not even introduce herself to me. I had to ask her what her name is. She said she had to wait for a tool. Do they not have enough tools? The tool for the X-rays hurt my gums a LOT. I told her and she said it’s just cardboard! She totally dismissed my pain.
The place seems intent on getting the patient to agree to as much dental work as they can get you to agree to. On top of that the office didn’t look nice. Holes in walls.
I left before the appointment was over and will NOT be back. I hope they will forward my X-rays that I paid for without a problem. I advise you avoid this practice.
Everyone was very nice. The dentist explained things and also showed me my X-rays while explaining my options between a bridge or upper denture and what teeth had to be pulled. I usually am extremely nervous at the dentist but he talked in a very calming manner as well as the dental hygienist. The women in the office was very nice. She detailed my bill, explaining what my insurance paid and what my final pay out would be. The office is very clean as well as the bathroom. I never thought I ever would say this but I had a great non-anxious visit with my dentist and his team. I left confident that I was in good hands.
