I had a crown down earlier this year. Within 6 months it was shaking. I returned and was advised that to wait until it falls off because if they extract it the crown could be damaged. When the crown fell off, I was advised to bring it back to the dentist and they would send it to be professionally cleaned (this would take 1 day) and then reinstalled the crown. I have been calling everyday for more than a week and the receptionist kept saying they would return my call, which they never did. I called today and told her I’m on my way there to speak with the dentist. I got there only to be told the crown was there all this time but no one bother to look and it cannot be reinstated.
Since this business was sold the service has been very poor. They are never on time and the receptionist has you waiting while they finish up personal calls. If you call, you are normally on hold for minimum 5 minutes
My experience with Sewells Dental was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Despite providing them with my insurance information upfront, they ended up charging me for services claiming they didn’t have my insurance details on file. This miscommunication led to unexpected out-of-pocket expenses that I was not prepared for.
It’s unacceptable for a dental practice to mishandle insurance information in this way, as it reflects poorly on their professionalism and competence. I expected better organization and communication from Sewells Dental, especially when it comes to something as important as billing and insurance. This experience has left me feeling distrustful and hesitant to return to their services in the future.
DO NOT GO HERE! I have been a few times here and wasnt an issue. I just wanted to get my teeth cleaned. when i went in they told me to do xray and even tho i said im not interested, they pushed me. They were doing hidden charges and found out when the bill was $450 when it should be $110. The hygienest who did my cleaning was fresh out of school and i had lots of pain. Do not recommend
