Reviews:
Firstly, they were not transparent about their pricing. I went in for a teeth cleaning and requested a dental check-up. They didn’t inform me about the $178 new client fee (coded as 1103 for insurance) beforehand. In contrast, Wilson Dental Centre only charged me $40 for a similar check-up. While I understand that new client fees may vary, I should have been notified upfront to make an informed decision.
Secondly, after charging me $178 for a five-minute check-up, the dentist recommended fillings for 3 teeth from two sides. I requested a quote from the receptionist for the upcoming fillings, who estimated it would cost around $650. I proceeded with the filling appointment, but the dentist only completed one side and asked me to return for the other side. After the appointment, the receptionist informed me that the visit cost $605, and I would incur additional charges for the next visit. It will cost another $400 to fill the remaining tooth, bringing the total to almost $1000 for three fillings. This is outrageous and feels like a rip-off.
The receptionist explained that the filling was between teeth, so the dentist had to fill two teeth instead of one. This explanation seemed odd because they should have known this during the initial $178 check-up. It’s confusing and frustrating that they couldn’t provide an accurate cost estimate in advance and only revealed the full charges after the procedure had started.
It feels like they are trying to maximize their charges without providing clear information upfront. I recommend being very cautious and not relying solely on their Google reviews. My visit left me feeling taken advantage of, and I now understand why they had few clients when I was there.
