I was looking for a dentist that accepted Medicare and/or Medicaid patients near the Crown Point, Indiana region, and was directed to Dr. Susan Royer through the Indiana Health Care Coverage (IDOH) website. Dr. Royer’s accepts Medicaid Package C Patients – patient’s who are under the age of 19 and enrolled in Indiana’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). While I am too old to be a member of this program, if you have children, I would highly recommend taking them to Dr. Royer’s office located at 1452 E. 85th Ave. in Merrillville, Indiana! Their dental hygienists are excellent. They are gentle, professional, kind and explain everything you need to know in detail! Their secretary does an amazing job keeping you informed and is highly responsive. The first visit you make, you must pay in full, but after that, customers can work out a payment program with the facility. Dr. Royer was very helpful, professional and kind, as well. The facility is clean, staffed by a friendly, professional team, and ran very well! I only wish they accepted my form of insurance.

Yesterday was my first day going. I was nervous and tense. But Shelly and Dr. Royer really helped me. They answered all my questions and I was very pleased with the services. The receptionist and all the workers in the front were really nice. I will be staying with Dr. Royer. It is so hard finding a good dentist.

I really like coming here everyone is professional but relaxing, no pain and they get right to work. Being a night worker I appreciate that because I don’t often have time to make appointments. I just wish they more days near me but I understand it’s split.
