Reviews:
I will acknowledge that fact that the dentist who treated me today was friendly. It is a pity that I will have to go to a clinic farther than my own neighbourhood, but being an expat for while, the being treated with racism was one of the most painful experiences and the last thing I want.
Update 13:30 Tue, March 5 2024
In reaction to comments from the owner, here are more details of
Around 9:00 in the morning, I received a phone call for an appointment during which the receptionist to reschedule the appointment in Dutch, even though I replied clearly in English. I tried my best to cope but was very confused about the new time. I was promised that a confirmation email will be sent to me, which NEVER arrived.
Around 11:10, I was unsure about the time without any confirmation email but 11:10 was the only English words that came out of the phone call so I had to count on it. When I enter the clinic, two receptionists were there, minding their own business and chitchatting, completely ignoring me even though I was standing at the counter. I was ignored again while I waited patiently till the receptionist finished her work and asked her if she could communicate in English for the follow-up appointment. She refused in Dutch and took no action, and I was later asked to make a phone call later till they have someone who speaks English who can help. While waiting for people who can speak English to come for help, I was calm and I did not prevent the receptionist to receive any other clients, and all reactions I received from the receptionist and the dentist who came out later were either passive-aggressive or aggressive.
When we proceed to payment, since I was asked to pay at the counter rather than via my insurance, I insisted that the confirmation should be sent right after the payment, and the dentist started reading out load my email address in public – this is how your clinic protects your client’s privacy?
If I could foresee the future I would have cancelled the first appointment so that I wouldn’t have to put up with all this nonsense. I shall go back to my previous dentist on the other side of the town, who treats me like a proper person.
This will be the last time that I update the review no matter what further reaction I receive from the clinic. The viewers can make their own judgment.
