As I recently moved to the Netherlands I was told that to be registered at a dentist is kind of a mandatory arrangement here.
Although, neither me nor my wife had any issues with our teeth we made an appointment to this clinic.
Without asking any questions a nice and polite employee of the clinic started describing all the procedures she wants to make for us, thankfully I asked about the price.
As we didn’t need any services and only a simple registration in their database was required, I rejected all services. In their turn they refused to have us registered. Thus we went away after few moments.
However, absence of services didn’t stop MCDent from charging me for 70 euros for “Consultation, not being a periodic check-up” and “Preventive information and/or instruction, every five minutes”.
I think such misunderstanding can be easily avoided by services provider. Otherwise, it comes too closely to call it a scam.

Mijn afgelopen rekening nagekeken, omdat het me verbaasde dat ik ondanks 100% dekking voor controles vanuit mijn pakket toch een rekening kreeg.
Ze hebben 25 min aan gebitsreiniging gerekend, die absoluut niet is uitgevoerd, zeker gezien ik maar een kwartier ben binnen geweest. Sinds het Mcdent is geworden, was dit al mijn 3de rekening, voorheen nooit een rekening voor controles gehad. De andere twee rekeningen dus ook nagekeken. Precies hetzelfde, telkens minimaal 15 minuten of meer aan ongevraagde (en in totaal twee keer onuitgevoerde) gebitsreiniging in rekening gebracht.
Man en dochter ook hun rekeningen nagekeken…idemdito.

Scammers alert! The worst dentist I have ever been to; I don’t even want to give a one star if there’s an option to give a minus point.
They are scammers; they asked me to pay extra money for the dental procedure I did not go through from the clinic.
I even told them I did not want the procedure since I was not insured and I’m still a student who needs to live on a budget. They did not care and still charged me with the fee.
DO NOT GO THERE! Go somewhere else if I were you!
