I had high hopes for the Berkeley Clinic, but my experience has been incredibly disappointing. I had my teeth whitened here a couple of years ago, and the results were underwhelming despite assurances that my teeth were well-suited for the procedure. Even the technician was unhappy with the outcome and extended the whitening treatment for me to continue at home. They genuinely wanted to ensure my satisfaction and scheduled a follow-up appointment. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make the follow-up and informed them, but they never rescheduled me. As a result, I paid a significant amount of money for a service that did not meet my expectations or the outcome they too desired.

More recently, I attempted to book a hygienist appointment. The hygienist was off sick, but I was conditionally booked in and assured that I would be called to confirm or reschedule the appointment depending on her return. However, I never received a follow-up call.

It’s disappointing to see that this clinic doesn’t seem to take accountability or strive to rectify issues based on their lower reviews. My experience mirrors this lack of commitment to customer satisfaction. I had hoped for better service from a private dentist, but unfortunately, my experience has left me quite disillusioned.

I have always had a fear of going to the dentist but several years ago, I looked up this clinic and Mike in particular due to his experience of working with people with a dental phobia. During the years of being Mike’s patient I have had extractions, fillings and crowns done. I have never felt any pain or even been uncomfortable during the procedure. I feeling this is due to Mike understanding how to put me at ease. All of this has resulted in me having total trust and confidence in Mike and I attend regularly for my check ups. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the clinic.

I have been a patient of Mike’s for nearly 20 years after having moved with him from his previous practice. I had a severe phobia of dentists, but Mike knew exactly how to support me through that. His empathy and expertise with dental phobia is second to none and this ethos can be felt through the whole practice. Kharla is my regular hygienist and is also amazing at putting me at ease. I have no nerves attending my regular check ups now, thanks to the calm and welcoming environment provided by all at the Berkeley Clinic.
