Reviews:
A year ago I gave Nigel and his team at the Franklin Dental Center 5 stars when I saw them but unfortunately in a year that has changed.
It’s extremely disappointing ringing your local dental experts who you’ve been with for many years to find out they won’t see you because you’re unvaccinated.
If this was a mandate rule from the government like it is for some places than that is understandable, but unfortunately this wasn’t the case here.
I called to find out that they won’t see all their patients because they’ve chosen to only see a certain group of people, and that their vaccinated clients appreciate them not seeing unvaccinated clients?
It is extremely upsetting to hear that you’re discriminating and that this was your personal choice to do so.
It looks like majority of other local practices aren’t discriminating though so I am thankful for those practices that have shown kindness, as I’ve contacted several other dental clinics in Pukekohe which are still seeing all their patients.
I had a filling done and had to go back to get it fixed as there was a black line through it.
Then next filling I asked what the cost would be and was told $350 as it was a basic filling (her words) only to be charged $430 at the counter. When I questioned this I was told the extra $80 was for xrays which they had already done when I originally asked for the cost. On top of that, one of the xrays was for a completely different tooth that I wasn’t there for nor even asked about, but she was trying to upsell me telling me it needed a filling too.
Came back to have that one done also the next week. They had called me 3 different times to make sure I was coming for the appointment (one only an hour before the apt) and when i got there the dentist was 15 minutes late before she even showed up to work. Then they didn’t have the material to do the filling and had to send the nurse to another practice to get some! 30 mins late and I Told them to forget it.
