When I first started seeing Dr. Kover in 2009 I was nervous because I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 5 years. He said I had zero cavities and my teeth were in good shape. Great! Over the years I had my regular 6 month cleanings, same thing – no cavities, everything looks good, etc. I did get fitted for a bite guard sometime in 2010 I believe, and their staff and everyone was very professional and helped work out a payment plan with me on the bite guard.
Over the last couple years, I started to feel like something was missing. Visits started to feel rushed, I stopped getting thorough feedback from the dentist and staff, and they stopped giving out toothbrushes. Which I know is a small thing but I thought it was kind of strange. Then during Covid, things really changed. Everyone just seemed so depressed and only talked about the bad stuff that was going on. Which I know, pandemic and everything but they used to be such a fun group, it felt like going to hang out with my friends rather than going to the dentist. During 2019-2020 was when I REALLY felt like I was being rushed out of the office after my cleanings. I timed one visit I was literally there only 15mins. For a cleaning. During one of my X-rays, he said there was one area he was concerned and keeping an eye on, and then during the next X-rays when I asked about the area he was concerned about he said “no, it’s fine now.”
So that was it, December 2020 was my last cleaning there and I decided to go to a different dentist closer to home. Come June 2021, new dentist office tells me I have NINE CAVITIES!!! I KNOW they didn’t just appear over the last 6 months since my last visit with Dr. Kover. I am not sure why he neglected to tell me I had cavities, but now I get to deal with going to a bunch of appointments and spending a bunch of money on fillings that could’ve been done years ago.
In a nutshell, with their practice name changing 3 times in 11 years, feeling rushed during cleanings, and not being told I had any cavities that whole time, really makes me wonder if Dr. Kover is paying as close attention as he needs to be to his patients.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading.
