Let me start by saying I normally hate the dentist. I’d rather run an ultra-marathon or eat a bowl of coriander than have my teeth worked on. Maybe I’m biased after 7 years of army dentists where they butchered my mouth like a scene out of the movie Saw. That said, I attended the Townsville Dental Centre to get a crown and was simply wowed by the skill and professional friendliness that Anjana Waran and her assistant showed me. Anjana was the most gentle and caring dentist I’ve ever had and I really appreciated the efforts she went to explain to me the procedure. Despite a crown procedure usually being one of the more major procedures you can get, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy and relatively pain free it all went. I’m very happy with my new crown and will be returning regularly to the Townsville Dental Centre at Fairfield Waters for my check-ups. Thank you again Anjana for the incredible work you do.
I attended this dental practise for emergency on a Sunday.
I went to ED a few times and was prescribed incorrect medication and was told to book in to a dentist.
I was struggling to find any immediate available appointments.
The lady who took call had the most professional tone and mentioned earliest appointment was in a few days. I called back later in the day as nothing was easing my pain. I was able to book a next day appointment.
The dentist and dental nurse where professional and helped calm me, by this time I was in severe pain and was very emotional. I couldn’t recommend this practise enough. It was clean, professional and a great level of explanation of procedure.

I have been going to this center for the last two years as they are Medibank Providers. I have my checkup and clean done. The two previous lady dentists were very efficient and thorough. However when I went back in May they were both gone. I saw Dr Vyas and I was so unhappy with the service I received from him. He rushed the clean, don’t even think it took 5 minutes and I was charged $275 for this. Then he just wanted me to come in for more procedures and make me buy pastes and a water flosser for almost $100. He was not interested in doing what I just paid dearly for. Very unhappy about the service I received.
