A couple years ago I had to have dental surgery done, to say I was terrified to have work done in any way in my mouth would be just the tip of the iceberg on the anxiety spectrum for me, I went for the consultation and Dr. Meisami could see that I was physically affected by my nervousness, she spoke to me not like a patient but as a friend explaining what would happen during the process of the surgery. I’m grateful that with me she chose not to be technical but instead compassionate, gentle and very reassuring that my comfort and fear was a top priority of hers. On the day of the surgery when I sat in the chair (shaking a little) she again reassured me that she was going to go slowly as to make sure I felt comfortable and in that instant I definitely did. When my surgery was done and I was in recovery she came in to check in on me, once I was able to sit up on my own she came in again to check in on me and sat beside me to go over how the surgery went. I appreciate how she dealt with me, my fears and my anxiety…professionally, compassionately, gently and especially without any judgement. Dr. Tina Meisami is a Doctor who stands above many many others in my eyes and I am utterly grateful to be a patient of hers.
