In November 2021, I started the process of getting implants; unbeknown to me, this was going to be a journey that would test my patience. The first step was to remove four teeth that were long overdue to be extracted. I knew they had to be pulled out, but I kept postponing it until I couldn’t any longer. So, I braved the process and had them removed. Of course, this was a massive blow to my ego as it meant I had to wear a temporary replacement for a while to heal the area. As I progressed through the process, it turned out that I needed sinus surgery to lift them and better support the implants. Although the surgery was necessary, it meant that getting my implants would be a longer process, and the thought of having this type of surgery made me a bit nervous.

After meeting with Dr. Lin for a pre-surgery consult, he immediately put me at ease. His expertise and my trust in him as a patient for over 30 years reassured me. I’ve experienced his work in many dental procedures, from extractions to having pins placed in my jaw as a result of trauma to my mouth. I opted for no general anesthesia, just local anesthetic and the pain was minor and bearable. The most challenging part of post-surgery was the swelling, but the recovery time was necessary for proper healing. After healing, the rest of the process was routine and cosmetic.

Finally, in May 2023, he completed the work. It was a long journey, but the results were worth the wait. I’ve received numerous compliments on my teeth from friends and family, and even an orthodontist praised the excellent job of the sinus surgery. I’m delighted with the outcome and have no complaints. My confidence is restored, and I can eat and talk without any concerns about my implants. I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Lin and his team for their exceptional dental service and unwavering emotional support, especially when my patience was thin. Their understanding and care made a significant difference in my journey. Dr. Lin is a true expert in his field, with genuine care for his patients and a passion for dentistry. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Mark Lin’s practice (Eighty Eight Finch East Dental Centre) for their care, service, and exceptional work for anyone considering implant work.

Each time I visit Toronto Dental Specialists, I am greeted by staff who are knowledgeable about my treatment and my appointment. They are incredibly friendly, genuine, and accommodating.

Dr. Lin is a phenomenal prosthodontist. There is no one more knowledgable and experienced in the field. I suffered from intense, debilitating migraines as well as muscle spasms in my jaw due to TMJ. After assessing me, he was able to make a treatment recommendation. He took incredible care of me in office. He also ensured that I set up a follow up appointment a couple of weeks after treatment to ensure my all went as planned and that I was feeling well. I have not had a jaw spasm since before my treatment by Dr. Lin and my migraines are now rare. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Lin. He has significantly improved my quality of life and I will continue to see him. I cannot recommend him and his practice enough.

Nearing the final stages of my treatment, delayed by COVID -19. I underwent what I felt was a quintessential implant procedure performed by Doctor Lin and his wonderful team.
What was impressive also was the clinic itself, equipped with the latest high tech paraphernalia and modern convenience complete with its own dental laboratory with everything under one roof.
To me the most impressive are the dedicated staff, led by the indispensable Leslie in administration.
The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming and was a great first impression when I first stepped in the office last October.
However, there needs to be improvements, such as for Doctor Lin to spend a bit more time to discuss with patients on procedures which could sometimes change due to circumstances.
