Reviews:
Zero stars should be what this place deserves. I went to this doctor because I needed a simple cleaning and my experience was terrible. Right off the bat, the hygienist was incredibly rude to me and accused me of never brushing my teeth which is not true at all. I then sat for 20 minutes with them putting a small in my mouth as nearly 20 unnecessary pictures of my mouth were taken. For context, I know that an x-ray is needed, but this may were just too much. Through my cleaning, I was asked dumb questions such as “have you ever had jaw surgery” and “do you brush your teeth often?”So so rude. The doctor seemed decent I guess. She told me I had three cavities. I’ve been told my teeth look great and have never had a cavity for nearly ten years, so I personally do not think this is accurate. Upon leaving the office, I was handed a nearly $200 bill for filling the vagaries on a later date. Yes, I wrote it correctly. I PREPAID! This is in Mountain Brook! Totally unnecessary. Overall, not a good place and I will not be back as well as not wasting my time and money by getting an unnecessary procedure.

UPDATE 5/21/24:
Went to a different dentist to get a second option, and was told that I indeed do not have cavities and that it was because of my teeth having grooves that apparently are normal for developing teeth which don’t stop developing until age 24 (I’m 20). I feel like I dodged a bullet by not going ahead with the procedure and getting a second option. I am scheduled to go back to this same dentist for a filling to prevent from getting cavities in these grooves. I DO NOT recommend this dentist for anyone. I was clearly misdiagnosed.

First of all, Dr. Weissman no longer serves clients at this office so be warned! There has been, over time, a big drop-off in the quality of service. I no longer recognize anyone in the office. I’ve never needed anything done under the new ownership except a cleaning and x-rays until several months ago. Things seemed different but it didn’t impact my experience except I noticed the staff turnover. However, that all changed when several months ago when I needed to get a crown reset that pulled away from my tooth. The tech (assistant) seemed very unsure of herself. I know from experience the tooth needs to be cleaned and prep’d very carefully before placing the crown back on the tooth. The whole process seemed like they cut corners just to get me out of there quickly. I believe this had a lot to do with my crown coming loose again. I called before noon on a Friday (23rd) to see if they could see me. I got a recorded message with no indication the office closed at noon or who I could call if had an emergency. Today (Monday 26th) I get a call saying they can work me in this morning but I’ve already got appointments made this morning because I never heard back from anyone. I said I can come in this afternoon 3-5pm. I was told they could not accommodate. I could say more but this is not the manner in which Dr. Weissman delivered care to his patients.

First of Dr. Weaver is no longer here, and I am extremely dissatisfied with Dr. Wathen. I would have give ZERO star bet thanks to amazing dental hygienist I give 2.
Dr. Wathen’s bedside manner is exceptionally awful, she seemed disconnected, she was unwilling to spend time with me and answer questions, and very rudely rushed through the appointment. I am extremely disappointed with her behavior. Her attitude is very condescending and completely unacceptable: when I asked questions she was responding like talking to 5 years old and she started talking slowly with higher volume than normal. Complete garbage behavior, I am not sure if she has sworn her Hippocratic oath or not.
She did not even show me x-ray findings, and I had ask her to do that. I am utterly shocked.
Previous doctor, Dr. Weaver, was an excellent doctor who provided exceptional care with great bedside manner. I and my wife leaving this dentist, and ABSOLUTELY not trusting her to send my wife to this person’s mercy to treating her kindly.
