Let me preface this review by saying, I am a big baby and terrified of the dentist. I absolutely love Drake Dental! I have been to both the Portage and Kalamazoo offices and treated by both Dr. Khaghany and Dr. Vandenburgh. I felt like both treat me with dignity and respect. Both made sure I was very comfortable and felt no pain. The concern for my well-being is palpable. The dental hygienists and front office staff are amazing as well. My spouse is also a patient and loves the practice as much as I do. Before treatment everything that will be done is explained in detail.

I understood my treatment plan and the cost because they were explained in detail. I read some negative reviews from people upset they needed to pay before the services. I feel like this may be from individuals who didn’t intend on paying at all. Ultimately, the dental offices have to pay for supplies, equipment, utilities and payroll. I only paid upfront for what my insurance didn’t cover. I wasn’t expected to pay the entire cost and wait for reimbursement from my insurance company.

Their equipment is state of the art. I got a same day porcelain crown! The facility is immaculate. It is extremely clean. The exam rooms are private and comfortable.

I would enthusiastically recommend this dental practice to anyone and everyone(especially those with dental anxiety). They can be booked rather far out for cleanings. However, when I chipped my tooth they got saw me next day.
