We were looking for a dentist for my sister, who is currently in a wheelchair and suffering terrible oral integrity from a lifechanging event last year. I searched and searched for an office that would accept her insurance (Disability Medicaid) and unfortunately, could not find any that were also accepting new patients. I went back to the drawing board and decided that we would pick the best of the best if we were going to have to pay out of pocket, and I am so glad we were able to book with Whitaker’s Family Dentistry! They offer a dental plan directly through their office which covers a lot of preventative appointments and cleanings; it also discounts extra services by 15%. The staff is so kind and courteous, whether it is over the phone or in person. The staff opened doors for my sister’s wheelchair, allowed her to stay in her chair for x-rays and the exam, and kept offering ways to accommodate us. The hygienist even held the x-ray equipment for my sister who was unable to bite down or hold it certain areas. It equally warmed my heart to see so many staff members bilingual in Spanish, making it easier and more comfortable for many of their patients. Dr. Davis was very detailed in explaining my sister’s lengthy dental plan and patient with all of my questions. She was also aware and attentive to the fact of us being self-pay patients. I just called again today to ask them to go ahead and send the referral to an oral surgeon for extractions, as they are booking into September, and I wanted us to go ahead and get on the books so that we can abide by the dental plan provided. The staff member was very understanding, hospitable and quick to submit the referral. The building itself is like a picture from a movie – the smalltown doctor in an old, beautiful restored home, and the office is ran by generational dentists. No modern building with new dentist contracts every so often. If you are looking for this vibe and a good dentist to take care of you, look no further!

Dr. Whitaker and his staff are very professional, personable, efficient and kind. I have yet to have a bad experience, always pleasant. I leave every visit content and more knowledgeable than before. The office space is always clean and comfortable and the environment is welcoming. The service is top tier. No question is left unanswered. I am very appreciative.
