I paid PS79 for a new patient check up appointment where I did have two X-Rays, but my teeth themselves weren’t thoroughly checked. I came to have a routine check up as well as mention my tooth pain I’ve been having. All I was told to do is take pain-killer medication and do jaw exercises, but it’s not my jaw I have pain, it’s my teeth. My teeth are bleeding every time I brush them. It hurts when I drink anything or eat anything using that side of my mouth. It’s been very difficult.

I wasn’t impressed with my first appointment at this clinic, and it makes me hesitant and unsure on whether to book a hygienist appointment here, despite being recommended to, as I’m not sure if it’ll be useful, as this past appointment wasn’t. I feel like there was a misdiagnosis in jaw pain – the dentist was pressing on my face near my tooth, the one that hurts, so of course I would respond with “that hurts”. And now, am I supposed to book another appointment that costs too much, despite my low income? NHS Dentistry is ruined in Bristol and there are no new patient slots anywhere, so a suggestion to sign up as an NHS patient is not useful, as it is not possible. I feel deeply unsatisfied with my past appointment and would like some sort of compensation.

Update: After a few days from this appointment, my tooth pain got so bad, I had to go to A&E for my tooth pain. They referred me to the Emergency Dental Practise at Charlotte Keel, where the dentist there told me I had a dead tooth and they performed root canal treatment! The dentist I saw at Your Dentist completely misdiagnosed the issue I had in my teeth, and as a consequence, my pain got worse, and I had to seek emergency treatment. I can only expect some sort of refund from the time and money I wasted at this appointment, which not only did nothing help me, but worsened my problem by misdirecting me.

Thank you to the Doctor for seeing me today as an emergency. No one, not even the NHS could help me. He managed me along side his other patients which i thought was extremely impressive. Encouraged the most conservative treatment possible which I also found unusual for Dental practice. Strait up and honest Guy with a clean tidy practice. Felt very modern and slick. He also managed to calm me down from the anxiety of needles. 5 star and definitely recommend.

Emergency appointment. Very easy online booking and managed to get a next day appointment which proved difficult to get anywhere else. Superb treatment with an honest talk through and recommendation of all the treatment options. Would highly recommend. Lovely team , thank you for putting me at ease and providing a fab service
