Reviews:
I have been going to Dr. Tucker for many years with no problems. I don’t know if he is not working any longer or I was just unable to see him during my appointment but I can honestly say that I will NOT be going back here especially if Dr. Collins is working. For the people who are impressed at this man’s ability to get the work done quickly beware of the consequences. I was in awe when he did my root canal in such a short time but I am paying the price now…… for those of you who have actually thought about it, the bottom line is this……the job he does is second rate…. how can he possibly do the work properly when he is so quick about it….anyone with half a brain can see that especially if at some point later that same tooth that was worked on in half the time begins to give you problems. When the dental assistant is ready to assist with the work and has something ready for him to use and he says he doesn’t need it well that should tell you something. I have since been seen by another dentist. Not so surprising is the fact that I need to have at least 3 teeth that will need to be refilled due to Dr. Collins shortcuts. The last thing that I will mention is the attitude of one of the receptionists. Without going into detail I suffer from a medical condition that occasionally results in my having to reschedule appointments. My last conversation with Lori left me feeling embarrassed, bullied and disrespected. She was unnecessarily sarcastic and very impatient. I have since found a local dentist and hope that they will be able to correct the mess that Dr. Collins caused.
They do direct billing with insurance, but they dont co ordinate with them at all- they never tell you how much you have left, they wont bill after 4pm so i have to remember to phone in after each visit- which is hard because every visit is worse than the last. My first filling felt weird when i flossed when i complained he told me to use more expensive floss. the assistant couldn’t seem to suction spit out without gagging me- all of my fillings ache more than a year on- to the point I cant chew on one side of my mouth for fear of shooting pain. do not let these people anywhere near your mouth. I’m honestly not even going back to try and get them to fix what they’ve done. I always had liked going to the dentist, lay back and let them work, now i understand the fear some people have.
I had been going here for my whole life until the dentist decided to fix a cavity without doing x-rays. He messed it up so badly I had to have it pulled a few days later after being in the most excruciating pain of my life. During the pulling, the tool he grips the tooth with broke and they couldn’t find a new one for a very long time. They stood around having a conversation about how they shouldn’t buy the “cheap chinese stuff” because they break easily. Took around half an hour to find a replacement while my tooth is hanging half out of my mouth. He also had to pull and yank on it, not gently, for a long time as well and I nearly threw up. Turned white, sweating, shakey and they didn’t try to help me or make sure I was ok. Do anything to avoid going here!
