UPDATE:
#1 – Great job breaking FOIP laws and posting specifics about my medical, and financial, information that you by law, are required to keep confidential. (I have time stamped screenshots and matching emails)
#2 – You have now spread untruths and tried to disclose facts that aren’t even correct. I have never in my life ever even been to COLD LAKE, let alone had dental work done there.
#3 – You neglected to mention the appointment that I had booked for regular exam / cleaning in December 2023 that I had to cancel twice due to Covid protocols.
I implore you to strongly consider the wording of your next response.
I wrote a negative review, that is true, but I did not consent to my personal details being shared on a global platform.
You, as a corporate entity, chose to disclose my personal information on the largest of global platforms, in a manner that cannot be undone. Certain details of my private life are now on the internet for anyone to look up.
You violated the terms of our agreements.
FIRST EDIT
I had called requesting an “urgent replacement” of my night guard, which Bonnie Doon Dental had previously made at least two of for me.
I explained when I booked the appointment that the night guard was my TOP PRIORITY as the one I previously had no longer fit due to an emergency root canal – during which another dentist had messed up and done work on my mouth in such a way that the guard no longer fit.
This is an appliance that I have needed and used regularly for OVER 10 YEARS. I am not supposed to sleep with out it and have previously broken many teeth in my sleep.
I was assured on the phone that this was possible, as they had the records of my previous tooth guard that was made in 2020. We even had the discussion that AISH would only cover it every 5 years, so this one would have a balance on it.
I have severe sensory issues, and severe general anxiety, coupled with my jaw issues. I need to prepare myself for dental appointments, especially those which may have pointy things stabbing my gums, very specifically depending on what the work is.
I was not informed, until I showed up, that the dentist would be doing a full exam with x-rays, PRIOR to doing any molds. This is a question I very clearly asked on the phone, and I was given misinformation.
Not to mention that the time commitment for imprints is significantly less than for a full exam. I was not prepared, nor did I have time, to sit for a full oral exam.
Their “excuse” of proving the legitimacy of the need is complete bull. They are well aware of my need for a tooth guard.
It is really sad that a clinic would be willing to lose a long term patient, who has referred many people previously to their practice.
All I needed was for them to help me stop the ongoing damage that is occurring from having to use a non-professional grade product.
ORIGINAL POST
Used to be amazing – but service has really declined in the last few years.
Seems to be that they are more concerned about doing as much as possible in a patients mouth than actually listening to the concerns and priorities of the patient.
Added to that – the office staff have lost their professional courtesy and treat patients and clients very coldly with no actual consideration for customer service.
Terribly disappointed – will be looking for another clinic.
When COVID happened they, like so many businesses shut down their customer washrooms. Well it’s been well over a year that we’ve had the plandemic under control (of a sorts) and this office hasn’t reopened their customer washroom. Instead they tell you to go to the FAAAAAR end of the mall to use those bathrooms. I even had their clerk tell me that “there are lots of dental offices” indicating I could go elsewhere if I didn’t like it here. RUDE!!! I was told today that the owners do NOT allow patients to use the TV’s in the (operating) rooms anymore. WHAT?!?? I’m told they figure patients can use their cell phones. So we now gotta hold our phones up to watch something and hope it doesn’t get in the way of the hygienists or doctors. SILLY. It may well be time for me to go find a new dentist office.
Don’t get me wrong, they do good work here, they just don’t care if you’re comfortable when they are doing it, but they sure are interested in padding their numbers as that they’ll cold call you to see if you want to come in to get check ups or work done when you hadn’t scheduled it. So, like I say, they have a solid interest in lining up the work so they can make all the money, but absolutely none of said is out towards customer comfort. (Washroom upkeep and distraction options.)
