My experiences with City Dental have left me both shocked and deeply disappointed, not just in their professional conduct but in their basic human empathy and understanding. My first visit, years ago, was marked by an uncomfortable atmosphere, an unapproachable staff, and, most critically, a lack of the urgent care I desperately needed. The dentist’s demeanor did nothing to alleviate my distress, further exacerbating an already painful situation.

This experience alone was enough to dissuade me from ever returning.However, a more harrowing episode unfolded years later, in the winter of 2022, when fate ironically drew me back to their doorstep–quite literally. After collapsing from what I can only assume was a fainting spell right outside City Dental on Bloor Street, I found myself in a perilous situation, facedown in a snowy puddle, struggling for breath. The ordeal could have ended much worse if not for the intervention of passersby, rather than the staff of City Dental, who observed my distress from the safety of their office.The receptionist, despite witnessing my ordeal and having the means to assist, hesitated to offer the immediate help one would expect in such an emergency. Her reluctance to call 911, even as I lay there suffering and explicitly asking for it, was bewildering and deeply concerning.

This lack of action left me in a vulnerable state until a friend could escort me away from the scene, a memory that has since cast a long shadow over my perception of City Dental. Reflecting on these experiences, it’s evident that there is a profound need for improvement in how City Dental approaches patient care and emergency responses. Compassion, professionalism, and a sense of duty towards fellow human beings should be the cornerstone of any medical establishment’s values.

My story is a stark reminder of the impact that indifference and inaction can have on individuals in their most vulnerable moments. It’s a call for City Dental to reevaluate their practices and ensure that their staff is prepared not only to treat dental emergencies but to act decisively and compassionately in any crisis.

Have had multiple treatments done here and my experience has always been amazing! From the moment you walk in, Abha greets you warmly – she is very patient and helps you sort out whatever issues or inquiries you might have, she is the best!!!

Both my husband and I get treated here and our doctors and hygienist are real pros, making sure we are educated on the treatments about to be performed and constantly checking we are doing good throughout it.

Whenever I go in, I feel welcomed by everyone. Dr.Ash is very knowledgeable and easygoing, makes me feel like I’m in good hands and less nervous.
The hygienists have also always been nice and professional. The last one did a deep scaling which hurt a little bit in certain areas, but she carefully explained why, and gave clear aftercare instructions. I didn’t experience any discomfort after my appointment, which is great.
