Being a certified nutritional practitioner, I know the health of our teeth is so key to our overall body health. I kept telling my previous dentist who I have been a patient of for 8 years that I felt something was going on with one of my teeth. He kept telling me that if it didn’t hurt, it is fine. I started doing my own research, went to a different dental office paid a lot to get expensive scans, at my insistence, and was still told the same thing.
I know Dr Sean Chiu from the gym I go to and shared my frustration with him. I asked if I could come see him and would he go over everything in detail with me, he said he would.
I saw Dr Sean yesterday, an additional scan had to be taken because the scan taken by the previous dentist was not adequate. Sean explained everything, showed me all of the areas that needed to be treated and yes, the area I have been asking my previous dentist about for years, has a hole in the jaw bone due to an abscess. The second dentist did not see it even when I told him of my concern. I also have another very large abscess that was never been picked up previously.
It shouldn’t take x-rays, a 2D scan, and 2-3D scans to find the issue.
I’m glad I started doing my own research so that I was well informed and didn’t accept that two dentists told me nothing was wrong.
I’m most grateful for Dr Sean be so gracious to allow me to share my frustration while he was at the gym and for taking the time to go over everything with me.
I highly recommend Dr Sean Chiu and Loft 19 Dental. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I appreciate the support given to me by Karen and Pauline during my visit.
Next step, two root canals, ugh but I will be in good hands at Loft 19.
