Note that the owner’s response is a lie and this review has been updated for simplicity’s sake. I called and asked about their free cleaning through Ottawa U and the receptionist booked it for me. When I showed up, they gave me a cleaning, but then strangely made me take x-rays while failing to tell me I would be handed a bill for several hundred dollars. I literally never asked for x-rays, never said I needed work done. The appointment was for a cleaning. Period. This place will scam you, and I am sure other reviews are fake. Just look at the production quality photos on them. Nobody does that. In the end I got GreenShield to cover a portion of the cost but did have to pay a good amount out of pocket. There, story simplified. You are safe to ignore the owner’s response, it’s complete nonsense and they did not take it seriously at all. In fact the owner ended up going completely nuts in emails sending me thousands upon thousands of words essays trying to bully me into removing my review. I tried submitting a complaint to the Consumer Protection Agency once I learned about them but they told me it was past the statute of limitations. It’s funny that the owner claims to have no recollection when I literally have a long list of email threads with the legal owner of this clinic. Their claim not to know about this is an egregious lie.

I would AVOID this dental office. Unfortunately, the university of Ottawa moved some of their students to this location and since then my GF’s experiences have been awful. I have friends in dental school that are shocked at their service. The fact that my GF and I are able to determine that she has a cavity before the dentist is disappointing (after speaking to them about symptoms and them saying it’s all normal). Dentist is also super condescending towards the hygienist. They didn’t provide any directions for post appointment other than avoid crunchy foods. Had to call an emergency dental line and even they said it is super unprofessional that they did not provide directions to temporary crown (apparently there was a bunch of things I should have been told). Debating launching a formal complaint. Never going back there …
