The staff are nice, but I felt the practice was disorganized.
Apparently I was 30 min late for an 8am appt, despite their reminder system (which sends texts, emails and calls) telling me my appt was at 920.
Only got half my cleaning done.. saw the dentist and had a bill of $507. After asking to review the invoice before they charged I noticed $133.00 of services listed that weren’t provided. Without asking for an invoice this would have been charged without a second thought.
The dentist seemed in a bit of a rush, and was quick to suggest multiple procedures (mostly cosmetic in nature). Despite me having no discomfort, pain or concerns.
The equipment in the practice looked really old and there’s no privacy for patients. It’s basically all open in a room with shelving blocking patients from one another. While the doctor was sharing information another patient would be able to listen quite easily… if you have privacy concerns this probably won’t be an ideal set up for you.
On a privacy note. I asked for an email copy of the invoice and confirmed my email, yet it was emailed to my partner, which again highlights their inability to protect privacy and confidentiality. I’m not even sure how that happened..
Overall, I can’t see myself returning to this practice given the other options in the immediate area.
I have been with Homer Dental for over 10 years. I usually visit for dental cleanings and walk away feeling good. Their staff personalities are lovely, caring and accommodating when it comes to adjusting appointment times.
Today I was seen by new hygienist that was super friendly! During the cleaning, it felt like I was being treated by a friend. It moved me to write this review.
I highly recommend Homer Dental!
On my first visit to Homer Dental, the staff were great I loved the painless, dental work, and I immediately sensed a big improvement with my new filling. I was in and out quickly my appointment was on time. I really like Dr. Kang, she is very professional.
