I used to love this dentist, they were unique and it seemed like they cared about their patients, but they do not. Be aware they charge a $150 missed appointment fee. I understand why it’s implemented but you need to call in two days prior or you’ll be charged. Before I signed, I specifically asked “what if my kids are sick” and was told that if they are sick then they’d understand. Well sure enough my child got sick the day of her appointment they gave a lecture about how I had to call in two days before. I replied with if I could see into the future I would’ve and that next time I’d bring her in regardless if she was deathly ill and they could deal with it. Keep in mind this dentist also over books keeping patients waiting hours past their appointment times and they’ve called and cancelled my appointment an hour before I was supposed to be there, yet there is no consideration of how my time is also valuable. My friend missed his appointment due to TMJ pain, when he took our daughter in, they offered to reschedule without charging if he could come in Monday, so he made the appointment. Today, Monday comes and he’s fully prepared to go to his appointment until his shed lit on fire, so he has a lot to deal with. We called, offered to send in photos as proof, and the response was “well now you’ll be charged the $150”. I’ve never gone to a dentist that charges for missed appointments especially when you call in. Not to mention life happens and you can’t always know when something bad is going to happen or if someone is feeling ill. Being penalized for such things makes no sense to me and shows a lack of care and is a pure money grab. Needless to say we will be moving the family to a dentist that fits our needs and understands life happen. I shouldn’t have anxiety booking with them worried about if something will happen and I’ll be charged $150. Especially with kids, you never know what’s going to happen, which they should understand because they are parents too. Just wanted people to be aware of this policy because for some people it may cause more stress than what it’s worth.

I’ve had a fear of the dentist for as long as I can remember, so I haven’t gone in a long time and I had a fair amount of cavities. my previous dentists would have shamed me, made me feel bad and charged extra for cleaning after they did a mediocre painful job. but not Norwood Dental! staff were so kind! on my first visit they were incredibly kind and patient with me as well as very kind and careful while they were cleaning my teeth! they answered every question I asked (I asked a lot). and they were even nice enough to show me all of my cavities on the X-ray and explain in detail, how they would deal with them! they managed to get me my next appointment within the same month! I had been dreading getting fillings for my cavities but Norwood Dental was once again, amazing! they were super fast and gentle and checked in with me often to make sure I wasn’t uncomfortable during the procedure! they were even nice enough to make sure I was aware of my dental plans limitations and they planned everything accordingly to make sure I was comfortable financially as well as physically and mentally! I’m super impressed with Norwood Dental, they go above and beyond for their patients and thanks to this, I no longer fear going to the dentist! overall, I’m incredibly satisfied and I cant wait to book my next appointment!

My fiance & I just had our first experiences at Norwood Dental and it was SO worth the drive!!!!
We were both shocked by how inviting and comforting it feels, and how insanely nice ALL the staff seem. They have a whole “comfort menu” (!!) of options like blankets, massaging chairs, and hot towels to make patients feel more comfortable. Being able to have your choice of Netflix shows to watch really helps the time go by. The front & bathroom are all full of TONS of free things to give their clients.
We had both waited years since our last dentist appts (due to a lot of less than positive previous experiences) and had a completely opposite experience here, in the best way!
We will be clients for years & years to come. Thank you so much!!
